Using Merisa

Merisa Kiddo provides authorised access to school information and workflows. These terms govern use of the web and Android services. School admission agreements, fee policies, employment terms and safeguarding procedures remain separate. If you cannot accept these terms, contact the school for another way to access essential school information.

Accounts and access

Use only the account and permissions assigned to you. Keep credentials private, provide accurate contact details, and report lost devices or unexpected access promptly. Do not use another person’s account. The school may change access when responsibilities or guardian relationships change. Administrative permissions do not authorise unrelated access to a family’s records.

Responsible use

Use the service for legitimate school purposes. Do not harass others, upload unlawful or harmful material, disclose confidential records without authority, bypass access controls, or disrupt the service. Upload only content you have authority to share. Sharing content permits its use for the relevant school workflow; it does not transfer ownership.

School processes and communication

The school is responsible for the accuracy of records, fees, assessments and decisions it enters. Report discrepancies to the school. Delivery of a message or notification is not guaranteed, and sending a message does not confirm that a staff member has read it. For emergencies, contact the school or appropriate emergency service directly. Transport locations are estimates and may be delayed; follow the school’s pickup and safeguarding procedures.

Payments and external services

School fee obligations and refunds follow the school’s published arrangements. A displayed balance or submitted payment record may require school verification. External links, document viewers and communications services have their own terms and privacy practices.

Availability and suspension

Maintenance, connectivity and device limitations may interrupt access. Access may be restricted to protect accounts, comply with law or respond to misuse. Where appropriate, the school should explain the restriction and provide a way to resolve it and obtain essential records.

Responsibility and applicable law

Each party remains responsible for its own lawful duties. Nothing in these terms removes rights or responsibilities that cannot be excluded under Kenyan law, including applicable consumer and data protection rights. Kenyan law applies, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you. Raise service concerns with the school or platform support first; this does not prevent a complaint to a competent regulator or court.

Changes

Material changes will be communicated through the school or service. Continued use does not replace consent where the law requires separate consent for a new processing purpose.
